A Biblical Perspective On The News
Issue No. 2, Year 2008
Shalom friends,
"I will shake…" was last January's International Prayer Conference theme. Indeed we see shaking in our lives and ministry, in Israel, the Church and the world. God is shaking everything that can be shaken, so that what is left is of Him (Hag. 2:6-7; Heb. 12:25-29).
Then how does one pray? We asked Him. God's answer confirmed what He has already revealed. "Pray for My will to be done." In the midst of all of His end time shakings, we need God's Spirit to guide us to pray His Word and Will according to His timing. Yeshua is again asking, "Can you not discern the signs of the times?" (Matt. 16:3b) Lord, make us like the people of Issachar, who “had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…" (1 Chr. 12:32)
The mystery of intercession is that God wants us to ask Him to do what He wants to do or He may not do it. Augustine said, "Without God, we cannot. Without us, God will not."

Watchmen From Jerusalem
A Biblical Perspective On The News
Issue No. 1, Year 2008
Shalom friends,
The spirit of humanism
hates God's declaration in Isaiah 55:8-9: "For My thoughts are not your
thoughts, neither are your ways My ways...For as the heavens are higher than the
earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your
thoughts." God then compares His Word with life-giving rain. "For as the
rain...waters the earth, and makes it [fruitful] ...so shall My word be
that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me
void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and...prosper in the
thing whereto I sent it." (Isa. 55:10-11)...

A Call to Serious Prayer
And Jacob
went out from Beer-sheba, and went toward Haran. And he
lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was
set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and
lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up
on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God
ascending and descending on it. And,
behold, the Lord stood above it,
and said, I am the Lord God of
Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to
thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy
seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the
west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee
and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. ......And he called the name of that
place Bethel: but the
name of that city was called Luz at the first. Gen 28:10-19...
